LEONARDTOWN, MD – The Food and Nutrition Services Department of St. Mary’s County Public Schools is announcing changes to the curbside meal distribution schedule starting in November. Meals are available for students 18 and under. Meals can be picked up from any school site, even if your student is attending another school.
Week of November 9 – Due to Veterans Day, meals will be distributed on Monday November 9 and Thursday November 12 only. The Monday lunch bag will include food for three days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). The Thursday lunch box will include food for two days (Thursday and Friday). The time for the distribution of curbside meals during this week is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
From November 16 – The distribution of curbside meals will continue in each school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday; however, pickup times will change. The new time for the distribution of meals at the curb will be as follows:
- The pickup of curbside meals at the elementary school will be: from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- The curbside meal pickup at the college will be: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- The collection of curbside meals at the secondary level will be: 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
These new hours for the distribution of curbside meals will continue until further notice.
Week of November 23 – Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, curbside meals will be distributed on Mondays only. This lunch bag will include five meal days for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. All lunch bags contain milk and / or water. The meal distribution times for that day will be those indicated above.
Leaflets containing these schedule changes will be distributed in each lunch bag before the week the schedule change is to begin.
