LEONARDTOWN, Md. – The St. Mary’s County Public Schools Department of Food and Nutrition Services announces changes to the curbside meal distribution schedule beginning with Martin Luther King, Jr. and February holidays . Meals are available for students aged 18 and under. Meals are distributed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Meals can be picked up at any school site, even if your student attends another school. Lunch bags include breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack; plus, milk and/or water for each student.
Due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday on Monday, January 18, the Friday lunch bag that will be distributed on January 15 will include food for three days (Friday, Monday, and Tuesday).
On Friday, January 29, all schools will be closed for staff professional development. Therefore, the Wednesday January 27 meal distribution will include food for three days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
From the week of February 1, the distribution of meals will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; however, the Friday lunch box will include food for three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). The Friday meal distribution schedule will continue until a plan has been established for students to return to school instruction. Once students resume instruction at school, any changes to the meal distribution schedule will be announced.
