JAMMU, October 2: Everyone knows the key to losing weight: eat less and exercise more. It sounds simple enough, but in the context of real life and its demands, it can be anything but simple. Being overweight or obese kills your energy level and can make daily chores a strain. To stay in shape and maintain your shape, regular training helps a lot. But when it comes to losing weight and getting back into shape, a regular workout or exercise routine alone won’t be enough. You will have to go a step further and take care of your diet too, in order to lose weight.
To keep the people of Jammu City fit and healthy, an OPD Nutrition and Dietetic Counseling Clinic was recently opened at SDDM Hospital in Channi Himmat district of Jammu City.
With his rich and varied experience, Gurmeet Gujral Masters in Dietetics, Certified Food Nutritionist and Executive Member IDA (J&K Chapter), has offered personalized diet plans in weight loss, weight gain and therapeutic or clinical diet program with consultation face to face.
He said: “In this 21st century, people who want to lose weight quickly and safely will start the diet. We help you lose weight in a healthy and proper way that does not involve starvation or starvation of foods containing essential vitamins. Our motto is to eat more to weigh less. The right foods help you reduce your weight.
While talking about gaining weight, Gurmeet said, “Losing weight is difficult, but gaining weight can be difficult. Good nutrition, targeted goals, and exercise can help even the leanest of us gain weight. Eating junk foods like burgers and pizza can help you get more calories, but you may not be able to digest everything if you don’t supplement them with high-fiber fruits and vegetables.
Dr. Gurmeet further advises that a therapeutic diet is a meal plan that controls the intake of certain foods or nutrients. It is part of the treatment of a medical condition and is normally prescribed by a doctor and planned by a dietitian.
